Activity - Making Collage and Scrap File

The Tiny Tots were given various activities such as colouring, drawing, mix and match, pasting pictures and joining the dots. These activities were linked to their project on wild animals. The memories were captured in the scrapbooks as kids recall best when they keep seeing the same thing again and again. The concept was taken up to build the kids’ reasoning and logical skillsalong with an attempt to fuel their creativity and imagination. The young ones found these activities engaging and interesting.  The kids were less cautious and created a lot of mess but the little fingers were exceptionally creative given their age. These activities boosted their self  esteem and gave them an opportunity for self expression. They compiled thehabitats, food habits and young ones of India, Finland and South Africa into a collage. This activity enabled them to see the beauty in ordinary things and appreciate the possibilities of everyday objects. The aim of the activity was to help them see beauty in ordinary things. The little ones enjoyed the collective activity of picking up small objects, squeezing the glue and pasting the materials on the collage paper. This simple activity also helped build in them cooperation and team spirit and developed their fine motor skills along with their descriptive skills. The activities proved to be a wonderful sensory experience that increased their hand eye coordination.
