The call of the wild-the voice of the voiceless

Classes – LKG-UKG

Activity - Power Point Presentation

An animal themed décor was created to introduce and give the toddlers hands on learning and understanding about wild animals. The ISA project embedded in school curriculum started with the introduction of the word jungle. Age appropriate books and toys were displayed in the class. A PPT depicting the animals of India, Finland and South Africa was shown to the students to create awareness and expand their understanding of the different inhabitants of the feral. The PPT apprised the toddlers of the animals’ survival tactics in different climatic conditions. The Tiger, Giraffe, Deer and Lion of India live in moderate climatic conditions whereas the Brown bear, reindeer, wolverine and Snowy owl of Finland survive in cold climatic conditions. The term Big Five used for the Elephant, Buffalo, Leopard, Lion and Rhino in South Africadescribes the power, strength and might of the animals. The aim of the activity was to enable the students to identify the animals and understand that they share the environment with many other creatures. The concept of Bio- Diversity through PPT created awareness, expanded their understanding and enhanced their knowledge not only about animals but also their survival tactics.
